NYANGEZI/ SOCIÉTÉ : Non à l’utilisation des enfants dans l’exploitation des briques à Nyangezi au Sud-Kivu
Le Centre International des Formations en Droits Humains et de développement dénonce ce qu’il qualifie une utilisation des enfants dans des chantiers d’exploitation des briques dans le groupement de Karhongo- Nyangezi en territoire de Walungu situé à 25km de la ville de Bukavu.
C’est ce qu’on peut lire dans une correspondance que ce centre a adressé au président de l’assemblée provinciale du SUD-KIVU ce 24 juillet 2020.
Selon l’esprit de la lettre, les enfants sont exploités dans les différents chantiers de briques de Karhongo/Nyangezi en présence des autorités censées réglementer ce secteur.
Cette structure de lutte pour les droits humains regrette de voir que malgré les séances sensibilisation faites, ces exploitants des briques restent réfractaires et continuent cette pratique punissable par la loi.
Selon nos sources, ces briqueteries utilisent les enfants car c’est la main d’œuvre la moins couteuse.
Les enfants victimes de cette situation ont l’âge variant entre 10 et 16 ans.
Ces défenseurs des droits humains demandent au président de l’assemblée provinciale du sud-kivu d’envisager une solution à ce problème pour sauver ces enfants, futurs cadres du pays pendant cette période particulière du Corona virus.
Pour rappel, il fait plus de deux ans que cette organisation sensibilise les briquetiers sur la non utilisation des enfants dans leurs chantiers.
